Mobile Mini

Mobile Mini UK is a leading supplier of secure storage and portable accommodation solutions, with 15 branches nationwide managed from its head office in Stockton.

Aim

To build and strengthen Mobile Mini UK’s brand profile through an integrated programme of PR, social media and content marketing over a sustained period, while leveraging the Mobile Mini Meals campaign to amplify the company’s values in action.

At a time of increased demand on foodbanks during Winter 2020, the aim was to maximise awareness and engagement around the initiative, encouraging participation across Mobile Mini’s national network and ensuring meaningful support reached local communities in need.

The Campaign

Over four years, we delivered a sustained press office function for Mobile Mini, producing and distributing hundreds of press releases covering everything from operational updates and team news to major campaigns and community initiatives. By tailoring each story to regional audiences and media priorities, we ensured consistent coverage that strengthened brand presence across key markets.

We brought Mobile Mini’s brand to life on social media through creative, audience-first campaigns that focused on how their units are used in the real world. Campaigns like #MMSpotted encouraged user-generated content and turned customers and communities into active participants in the brand story.

By combining organic content with campaign-led activity, we significantly increased engagement, expanded reach, and grew Mobile Mini’s social following, creating a more visible and interactive digital presence.

Alongside external campaigns, we supported Mobile Mini with a consistent stream of internal and owned content, helping to strengthen communication, engagement, and alignment across the business.

We played a key role in delivering internal communications, including the quarterly Grapevine newsletter and the company’s annual conference. Each year, we developed the conference theme, designed all supporting artwork, and produced a video to bring the event to life across its two-day programme.

For Grapevine, we collated, wrote and designed a 24-page printed newsletter distributed to employees across the business. Covering everything from company performance and strategic updates to employee stories and personal milestones, the content balanced important business messaging with more human, engaging content. Our role was to ensure that even complex or less engaging information was presented in a clear, accessible and visually appealing way.

Alongside internal communications, we also created written content to support campaign activity, including blog content to promote the launch of Mobile Mini Meals across the company’s owned channels, ensuring consistent messaging beyond PR and social media.

We supported Mobile Mini’s campaigns with a wide range of multimedia content, using design, photography, animation and video to bring ideas to life and ensure consistent, high-impact delivery across all channels.

Working closely with the marketing team, we translated a variety of business activity, from product launches and promotions to safety initiatives and team milestones, into visually engaging content that could be rolled out across digital platforms, internal communications, and branch networks.

For the Mobile Mini Meals campaign in particular, we developed a suite of creative assets to ensure the initiative stood out and was easily recognisable across all touchpoints. This included campaign branding, social media graphics, email signatures, and in-branch promotional materials, all designed to drive awareness and encourage participation at a local level.

By combining strong visual storytelling with clear, consistent messaging, we helped ensure each campaign was both engaging and accessible to its target audience, while maintaining a cohesive brand identity throughout.

The Results

The Mobile Mini Meals campaign delivered over £20,000 in donations for foodbanks across the UK, providing vital support to communities during the peak winter period.

PR activity generated 36 pieces of coverage across regional and trade media, significantly amplifying campaign reach and awareness.

Across the wider partnership, our ongoing PR and social strategy secured 565 pieces of media coverage, reached over 3.5 million people, and drove nearly 3,000 new followers, alongside thousands of campaign interactions through initiatives like #MMSpotted.

A campaign that not only made a tangible difference to local communities, but also strengthened Mobile Mini’s brand visibility at a national level.
