Resolved Group

Chris Carroll founded The Resolved Group in November 2024. His business was solid – fixing digital systems instead of ordering expensive rebuilds – but Chris needed quick wins and early momentum.

He also needed help conveying how unique his offering was, and how businesses could benefit from the service his skilled team provided.

Aim

Resolved Group operates in a highly technical and often misunderstood space. As a specialist development company that fixes, rescues and supports existing digital platforms, their biggest challenge was awareness.

Potential clients did not always realise this type of service existed. Many were already frustrated, financially stretched, or emotionally drained after investing significant time and money into platforms that did not work as intended. Chris needed a way to:

  • Clearly define Resolved Group’s offering
  • Build trust with businesses who were already cautious
  • Communicate complex technical work in a way that felt human and relatable
  • Stand out without relying on paid advertising

The Campaign

Nobody can do business with you if they don’t know about your business. And nobody will do business with you if they don’t trust it. For Chris, PR became a partnership rather than a bolt-on activity for this very reason.

Harvey & Hugo began by developing a strategic 12-month PR strategy for Resolved, based on human-lead case studies, awards, and thought leadership.

Chris wanted to make a splash, and with our help, he made a big one.

The focus was on:

  • Translating technical work into human stories
  • Using case studies to demonstrate credibility and empathy
  • Positioning Resolved Group as trusted “fixers” in their sector
  • Building consistency and recognition through regular storytelling
  • Supporting wider objectives including awards, reputation and investment interest

Rather than one-off press activity, each month built on the last, reinforcing Resolved Group’s expertise, values and results.

One of the most powerful elements of the campaign was sharing real client turnaround stories.

In one example, a business owner had spent £45,000 on a mobile app that was rejected by app stores leaving them in a very dark place, both financially and mentally. Resolved Group stepped in, fixed the existing platform rather than rebuilding from scratch, and helped get the product live.

The result was not just a functioning app, but a thriving business and a relieved founder.

The PR campaign allowed these stories to be shared in a way that prospective clients could recognise themselves in – instead of just selling services.

This resulted in media coverage in trusted titles, elevating the Resolved brand.

Quarterly photography as part of the campaign ensured that there was an always-updated bank of high quality images at our disposal for press releases, as well as award and event collateral.

Awards entries were another key pillar of the strategy for Resolved, to build trust and credibility.

We achieved a 100% success rate when it came to award nominations, and to top it off, the company was named Best Tees Start-Up in the prestigious North East Business Awards.

The Results

The PR campaign delivered tangible commercial impact, strengthening Resolved Group’s market position and driving sustained business growth.

Consistent, strategic storytelling increased trust and recognition, meaning prospective clients were approaching the business with a clear understanding of its offering and differentiation.

This translated directly into new business, with inbound enquiries and contracts linked to PR activity. In one instance, a prospect reached out with the subject line “Help” after reading an article reflecting their own situation, demonstrating the real-world impact of targeted content.

PR also supported a structured awards strategy, resulting in multiple shortlistings and wins across national and international platforms, further enhancing credibility.

At the same time, increased visibility attracted attention from banks and potential investors, who proactively approached the business after seeing coverage around its growth and expansion.

Most importantly, this activity has built long-term brand value. Resolved Group is no longer reliant on short-term tactics, but is instead generating ongoing recognition, referrals, and opportunities, contributing to a doubling of its forecasted business value.

“PR has become not just a great sales part where we’ve won contracts through exposure, but also in terms of our reputation. We’re now recognised in what we do, and people are coming to us saying, ‘We really want to work with you.’

“You’ve got to have a real strategy over time. If you only do it for one month, you’re only telling part of the story.

“Working with Harvey and Hugo is one of the best decision I’ve made with The Resolved Group. Their results have been a game-changer for the business. I admit I was hesitant about what PR could do, and if I’d see a return on my spend – I shouldn’t have been.

“The result The Pack achieved have been second-to-none and have directly boosted business and helped steer my company on a different, better trajectory.”
